As ever, we aim to bring a little knowledge without the brain-ache!

FRUIT STARTS TO FLOWER

Various training methods are used to ensure maximum ripening of the fruit

GRAPE HARVEST

Grower chooses to harvest during day or night & to pick by hand or machine

CRUSHING / PRESSING / DE-STEMMING

Fortunately it isn't done by feet anymore, but the results are the same!

ALCOHOLIC FERMENTATION

This essential process is responsible for turning sugars into alcohol

AGEING PROCESS

Wooden barrels or steel tanks are used to allow the wine to mature & develop

MALOLACTIC FERMENTATION

This process converts harsh malic acid into softer, more palatable lactic acid

BOTTLING

Wines are then sent for bottle ageing or to us to sell!

THE FINAL STAGE OF THE JOURNEY

And we believe the most important...
